So, I hope to get back to a more regular schedule of blogging very, very soon! Things have been changing in my world, again, and I am currently working on getting my new studios set up and ready to work in. Can’t remember if I mentioned it here on my site before, but we have given up the big upstairs gallery space here at Chroma Studios. This meant moving my painting/framing studio and office downstairs. The past couple of days I have been working on unpacking and organizing my new space. This has not been an easy task as with this move I have had to step down into two smaller rooms from the 3 larger rooms I had upstairs. I’ve had much smaller spaces in the past, so I know it can be done, it just takes a bit more time that usual since I have to get rid of things and try to compress all my supplies, furniture and tools into less space. In reality, I like having a smaller space, it feels cozy, more comfortable for some reason. This is turning into what I think will be a great move for us. There will be much less maintenance and cleaning to do as well as less gallery work, leaving me more time for my own art. This is very important to me. I’ve heard so many stories of artists opening galleries and then giving up their art because the gallery takes so much time. I’m just NOT willing to give up my art! I am an artist, first and foremost, and I am excited about getting back to daily painting. So, guess I should cut this post short so I can get my studio in order and get back to painting! Stay tuned for more regular blog posts and LOTS of new art!!
