Back to work!

We had a great time camping at the beginning of the week. We found a new spot in the western mountains of New Mexico where we didn’t see a single person the entire time! That is a true rarity when camping anymore! The weather was perfect, right around 80 degrees with overnight lows in the 50s. We hiked for hours and sat around the campfire. The boys took a couple of friends and enjoyed having their own camp away from us. Of course they came back for mealtimes!

Now I’m back to work in the studio. Getting ready for another show this weekend. This is a Saturday only show in downtown Albuquerque. The Neighborhood Market is located at 8th and Gold and runs from 10am to 4pm. I hope to see some locals out there this weekend! Last month, the local Albuquerque Tribune was out at the market shooting video and interviewing the promoter. Today the article came out in the paper and they have also posted a video with my painted guitar featured prominently in it! In addition to the Neighborhood Market video, my husband was recorded playing a couple songs on his guitar! So check out both videos below and let me know what you think!

I hope to have some new paintings finished soon to post here. I’m working on a couple of larger pieces for the Gallup gallery show in August. I also need to get started on a much larger canvas soon.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!!

  2. We’re going camping this weekend and I’m looking forward to it. We always try to search out the more deserted spots, but it is difficult anymore.

    You’re busy, busy busy now a days…
